Job description for temporary registered nurse assignment
Overview: **This is a temporary experienced RN assignment in Huntsville, Alabama.** The RN's role is to identify patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
- Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (renewable once for a total of 26 weeks/year)
- Assignment Type: Temp with full-time hours (PRN Status)
- Assignment Shifts: Day $50 per hour & Night $60 per hour. 48 hours per week for 13 weeks / rotating weekends; Eligible for overtime. Not eligle for lump sum extra shift incentives, eligible for shift differentials.
- Assignment Benefits: Limited benefit plan (High Deductible Health Plan ONLY, no disability/life insurance, ETO accrual or 401(k) matching)
- Internal candidates can apply. However, their current position may or may not be available after the 13 weeks or 26 weeks assignment.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure
- Experience Preferred: Minimum of 2 years experience in Critical Care and/or Emergency Care strongly preferred, with the flexibility to work in Med-Surg Units. For internal candidates, minimum of 1 year of service in current position.
- Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS is required before the conclusion of the orientation period. ACLS is required if applicable to a specific unit.
